Wayma was founded in 2021 with the goal of creating lasting, positive change across industries, businesses, and projects through expert guidance and strategic support. Our name, Wayma, comes from the Bundjalung language and means “to speak with purpose,” a principle that guides our work in fostering collaboration, mutual respect, and long-term impact. At the heart of our approach is the principle of Makarrata—reconciliation and coming together after challenge— which shapes how we navigate complexity and build strong, resilient partnerships.
Established by Shane Green, a proud Yuin man with strong ties to Bundjalung country, Waymacombines over 25 years of Shane's expertise in civil engineering, law, and major infrastructure. His vision was to integrate his vast experience and technical know-how with Indigenous principles, ensuring every project is approached with integrity, insight, and a commitment to uplifting others while delivering positive outcomes and sustained success.
Wayma offers tailored project delivery and commercial services, spanning project management, governance, risk, procurement, community, heritage, claims, and dispute resolution. We also collaborate with a network of trusted industry partners to provide support in construction delivery, design services, surveillance, and natural disaster recovery.
